Default Sierra Marine Products?

I need two pairs of exhaust manifolds for my 7.4 Mag motors. I found some from Sierra Marine that are at a pretty good price.Has anyone used these or know anything about them?

Thanks.

Ayuh,..... Chinese parts,..... If ya buy 'em, check the gasket surfaces for Flatness,.....

Years back I bought a set of GLM manifolds, 'n couldn't get the manifold/ riser gaskets to seal, hydro-lockin' my motor,.....

Ended up machinin' the tops of the manifolds to flatten 'em, as the inner circle of iron was 'bout .040" lower than the outer edges,.....

Been just Fine, ever since,.....

Okay, not a fan of buying the Chinese stuff. Where is the best place to get exhaust manifolds?

They only have their somewhat pricey EMI manifolds. I need stock ones.

Another idea is find some taken off a fresh water motor. The ones I took off my Formula years ago look just fine and have been sitting in my shop ever since when changing to EMI. Bet you could find some take off's fairly easy. If you lived closer I would make you a cheap deal on the ones I have.

Are you looking for cast iron or aluminum because Sierra are cast iron --- heavy just like Merc. No performance gains or weight savings with either. If you want cast iron -- look at Barr Marine they are made here in the USA. I am dealer for Barr Marine if one needs something.

CP Performance has the Seawald Series (spelling) as well. They are the lightest manifold I have seen for big block app.

GLM does not make aluminum exhaust manifolds anymore, they quit 2 years ago. Just an FYI
