Assuming you are talking to me - but not sure why you would say that. You obviously don't know me.

I'd just spend the money on something else that had absolutely no return, other than turning dollars into fun.

So here's a question...What PFD requirements usually exist at a normal poker run?? I know I know Lifeline is the best of the best but I'm simply not in a position to spend that kind of money on life jackets...Yes I know there is no price on safety I get it trust me...but what are some other alternatives?? I saw some mustang ones that are like 80 bucks at bass pro and although they say "fishing vest" on them they do have a 100 mph rating for what its worth...what's everyone's thoughts/experiences on the subject??

thanks

Just get out there, get involved, and enjoy the day/weekend! ...and most importantly, meet some new people!
Sorry, was just having fun with the photo comment.

Most rules say "life jackets" it doesnt mater if they are orange, boxy and say k-mart" on them.. hopefully you have something marginally better than that though... but most require you have them on whatever they are...

we just bought 4 of them from West Marine They were on sale normally 150 and we got them for 100. They are the self inflating type. We just wanted something that was a little cooler. Not sure about the speed rating. Heck some of theses guys are going so fast dental records wouldn’t help in the event of a crash !!

The last time I checked Lifelines still were not USCG approved.....Best jacket available but you still need a bag of $20 jackets on board. The inflatable horse collars are good also. Just make sure you have them on correctly and adjusted.
