Default Hurricane Harvey Boats

So I just bought the red scarab, shes at the shop getting carbs cleaned and probabky tank. The boats going to be out of rockport tx. Mainly trailered. But we just jad harvey, theyre has got to be tons of boats that were totaled....Im looking for some bolster seats and a new console. How does one get a hold of all of these boats and the plethora of useable parts? I mean one boat storage house 500+ boats half of them were piled on the other half. Surley they wont just go straight to the landfill? Ease educate me on the process.

Do a google search for salvage boats.
There a lot of auction houses listed.

Many of these boats wont hit the market till the Insurance has settled the claim....and we all know how they like to pay out!
And they will probably go through an auction house of some sort to sell them whole...not part them out
Ive watched a few High perf boats keep getting pushed back on the auction blocks all the while sitting out in the elements and rotting away.
The ones you see quickest out on the market will probably be from people who didn't have insurance on their boats im guessing....

Yes, you'll probably have to buy a complete boat by auction. Insurance companies aren't going to spend the time parting them out. They want a quick sale to recover what they can and move on. Might not be worth your while to buy a whole boat for parts.
