Not the best pic of our 87 Portofino but the arch makes a pretty good light bar for the dance floor

I know shade wasn't the biggest concern with traditional arches on perf. boats. But, for me I think slanted forward is more functional. It put's the shade over the helm area, and the top is down wind of the arch. I can ride 70 MPH with this top deployed.

I have plenty of shade , from behind the backrest of the rear bench seat to the front of the dash and cabin entry door. I regularly run 50-60mph for hours at a time with it up without any issues. And when its stowed its completely out of the way and full sun.
