Default Oil comparison

I've looked everywhere and cant find it. There was a link floating around that compared different brands of oil, the breakdown and viscosity after use and which held up the best. Does anyone happen to have a link?

Hydrocruisers old thread? Mobil 1 15-50 is all run. I tore down my engines after 12 yrs of abuse this winter and the bearings are pristine. Even with a cracked block and 3 qts of water in the oil for 1/4 of the season.

x4.......

Lost an oil filter (split) when my motors were in my old boat. After a couple of miles at 6000 rpms, looked down and no oil pressure. Opened the hatch - what a mess. Back to the marina, cleaned the bilge, new filter, filed it up again, and off we went. Years later, all we saw in the tear down was a little scuffing on a couple bearings, Since then, I always used it & see no reason to use anything else. My engines also had a slight bit of reversion.........so I think this protected pretty good.

At the risk of sounding like a bandwagon fan....

Mobil 1 15-50 in every boat I've owned.
