Looking for an alternator pulley, smoked mine. Its a 6 rib aluminum pulley that is the Merc blue. I found the Merc part number but was hoping that there was another option. I could care less if its blue

Take it down to your local alternator rebuilding shop. Good chance that they will have something

Unfortunately I tried that, they said I should try Merc, they knew what it came off of but haven't been able to match it with mine or their previous experiences

Been unable to find the blue one, whipple does have a 10 rib for $170. The black ones are part number 807757T and could possibly be repainted

Same thing happened to mine on a trip. Packed it full of shim stock wound like a clock spring, and JB Weld. Finished the trip, another 150+ miles. Replaced it with one from BAM when I got home. Of all the things to fail on a performance boat, that was weak!

This makes me want to check all of the pulleys yearly, aluminum on steal heat at different rates and thus causes the issue. I had a slight squeal last trip, though it was the belt. I figured I would address it when I got home. Little did I know
Btw for all those reading, when an aluminum pulley spins on a steel shaft they are both trashed

Might want to call around a little, steel would probably holdup better.
