use and exterior wall (south if possible) to cut costs and build yourself a paint booth of sorts,
big enough for the cat and two gantry's. that way when you take the deck off and start grinding, cutting and so on, every square inch from floor to ceiling of that 5000 feet and every nook and cranny of every toy, tool, and what ever else in there won't be covered and/or embedded with fiberglass dust. the booth will be easier to ventilate using 2 windows, insulation heating and cooling won't cost as much and will extend your fiberglass and paint work into the winter. |
A 2 point or 4 point car/truck lift. You will love it! Great looking shop. You can get tons of ideas from this website. www.garagejournal.com |
If you are pouring concrete put plastic down on pour on top. This isolates the concrete from the dirt so moisture is not wicking through concrete.

might be code anyways but after going down this road before with outlets, in a garage I think Id put an outlet every 6 ft don't matter what I think or feel. Think code might be 4 or maybe that's for a house. Either way. On a 50 ft garage by 40 that's 30 outlets with boxes probably less than 50 bucks. I would probably run feeds up each side with its own circuit. I don't use 220 much or at all but still have one feed by breaker box just in case.

I run all of my 4500 lumens LED shop lights, garage door opener and 1/2 hp well pump off solar panels. A couple 285 watt panels and some deep cylce batteries. I'm upgrading to solar batteries in a while. Just wanted to learn how to build a solar grid first.
