38’ fountains are cool. They are a big damn boat and fast. There were some deals back in the day, but probably not now. They aren’t particularly setup as a comfortable cruising/sand bar boat though. I think fountain figured the LX would cover that base.

The 38’ donzi I like and it has a nice front seat area.

That Glasstream in the link above is sweet! Don't know anything about the brand but that's a great looking ride!

39 Cigarette GTS (Mic Drop) :thankyouthankyou:

Just kidding.
I've gone for a ride in both a 32 and 34 Sunsation, and in my opinion, the 32 rides much better than the 34. Also, not a fan of the front lounge being up so high, but again, my opinion.
I was split between my Cigarette and a Nor-tech. I went with the Cig, obviously. But you can't go wrong with either.
Never been in a Statement, but they appear to be a quality boat as well.

they look cool and are fast. They are narrow, have low freeboard, are cheap and have suspect quality.

This is going to be a big decision for us needless to say. More insight from those with experience with this matter will be of great help. With the prior discussion I think renegade is out. I have reviewed some of the statement boats online. By no means am I able to afford a new nortech or cig...wish I could but Sunny’s are in the running for sure. We are looking for comfort and ability to have all on board to be comfortable without beating everyone up.

This is is a massive change for us. The Fastech has been amazing and will be an amazing boat for the right person in the future. We are ready for change and I can not thank all of all you for your insight. Keep it coming please. Wife and I are not being hasty about our decision and really need the guidance.

Thanks, Chris

They are nowhere close to the 13 week ship dates they were promising at the start of this year. I'm sure the manufacturers will take that into consideration going forward, but in some cases they may need to start ordering engines before the boat gets started. The days of being able to change your power selection mid way through the build cycle may be gone for awhile.

Mercury is currently at around 20 weeks lead time on 350's and 400's. Makes things difficult for sure. We have to forecast out almost 5 months and it only takes around 2 months to build a boat. So if someone were to order engines right now, you are looking at mid December before they arrive. I know Merc is working round the clock to get caught up, but I don't see the lead times getting shorter anytime soon.

I heard the same thing from Big Thunder Marine this week - Merc is giving dates 20 weeks out. The scary thing is it's been awhile since Merc met any of their projected dates, so that 20 weeks could easily end up being 6 months. If trip 400s were ordered today for a boat scheduled to debut at Miami, it might get uncomfortably close. My guess is it will just delay a lot of the higher end CC deliveries, as I bet they stick with the Merc 350s and 400s. But I won't be surprised to see a ton of new Tritoons come out with Yamaha, Suzuki or Honda power hanging off the back this winter.

Look on yachtworld......38 with trips is 329K, 34 with twins is 240ish. They have updated the interiors nicely but it is an older hull. A local dealer took the Fountain franchise and has 4 new ones (3 38's, 1 34) and they are sharp looking but he hasn't sold one yet (5-6 months). A 38 is gigantic, huge flare to the bow area.

I like the 39 NT the best but if it was 200K more vs. the Fountain I'd buy the Fountain and use the savings to run it!

I needed a few minor spare parts like screw head covers, hatch strut and a nav light, they express mailed to me at their expense. I'd never go back to a standard closed deck layout after buying a performance CC. We cruise comfortably now with several friends aboard and can actually carry on a conversation at 50mph with the quiet four strokes. Go visit the companies and see it for yourself. Good luck.

Can you please send me that phone number. I am looking to be a 32CC and would like to talk to the head honcho directly.

Thanks
