Default Prop Slip, 98 Hammer

Prop slip and the 98 Hammer: Air temps in the 100’s 64mph at 4600 rpm. Cooler temps get 5100rpm where the rev limiter lives that gets me 70+ mph. That gets me between 4-6% prop slip. Loaded full fuel and 2 adults and two 50lb kids.

Labbed 23P M+
95 octane fuel (VP)
Solid Hub

I don’t get how this happens when some say it can’t. Mercury racing prop slip calculator was used. To get to 11% I have to input 24.5 pitch. Is that right for a labbed prop?

If I recall, BBlades told me that they use a slightly lower pitch than what is stamped on the prop to calculate slip. I think the way 4-6% sounds hard to believe. I owned a 24 Superboat that I would see 9% on occasion, which I was pretty pleased with.
