I'm not sure why you don't see that many newer ones around. Hustler Powerboats purchased Checkmate some years ago and I'm hoping they keep some new models coming through. I love the checkmate new and old look. I own 2012 2400BRX with a 400R and the fully restored 1985 2800sx Checkmate with the twin 350's. Both run in the 80's and are a blast to drive. It was crazy how flat it was and very few people out. I couldn't believe when we got to the sand bar there was maybe 10 boats.

Otta Control - This looks look 2 days ago on Sunday around 2:00pm at Isaqueena Dam. I was in the Yellow 35 Fountain and saw two boats that looked like they were together headed into the inlet. Great day for a ride, we covered a good part of the SC. section of the lake that day.

Yes that was us. I was in lead boat. We ate at Clemson marina. I am down on Ga side near buoy T3 just off tip of old Andersonville island. Let me know if heading down our way you can swing by dock for a beer.
