the new full cast I6 will be much lighter than the current design. Plus, it will be sleevless as well, further reducing the weight. I would also expect a similar above water exhaust as is on the ROS.

So you think they will tweak the 6 rather than up the power of the new v8 platform?

No, the liners are sprayed in, similar to the process that Merc is using on the V8’s.

Yes this seems to be the plan. This has been a bullet proof platform for Merc, and the 350 & 400 are the only I6 models offering the new water cooled SC and redesigned induction system, so I would expect to see this on the redesigned larger displacement block.
