I have been told it is a splash of a Cougar Cub. Which may also be what the Baja was. Apparently there are all kinds of them.

Insptech, the boat you have is a copy of the cougar cub.The Baja is a copy of a Molinari(SP?).I am currently rebuilding an original cub from the glass up.Plans are for a 6 inch set back jack plate that I will custom build with the ability to trim as well because you are corect, its a wet ride in anything but glass calm water. It came to me with an old 25 johnrude on it and ran 30 mph on the nose .I am rebuilding it for my daughter and will paint it to match my eliminator and slap a 40hp on it That should be good for some schittts and giggles.

the whole trick to that "hydro hoist" is just knowing when to throttle back

I had some around, can't find them. Give me a day or two and I'll take some.
