Best way to remove mildew from seats?

I had my boat sitting with the cockpit cover while under the well covered boat lift for about six weeks. I uncovered the boat yesterday just to find some mildew that seems to be embedded somewhat into the top of the bolster seats and the rear seat headrests. Is there something safe that can remove this stuff? I already tried Magic Eraser with and without blue Dawn diluted and full strength with minimal success.

FYI, before leaving it sit for a few weeks (not planing on it for that long), I cleaned the interior and treated it with Mother's Vinyl protectant. Obviously, didn't help much....

I have had great results with this product. You spray on and mildew vanishes, I could't believe how well it worked on my boat seats.

StarBright mildew remover and best of all is a week in direct sunlight followed by another cleaning.
I have also had great success with a product from the dollar store called Amazing or Awesome or something like that. It is only $1.00 and it comes in a quart squirt bottle, the liquid is like a piss yellow. Do try this stuff. Good Luck

just remember that if what you use has bleach in it, it could damage the thread in the seats.

Try Simple Green with the magic eraser or the knock off version is Mean Green.

A lot of times the stain begins on the inside surface of the vinyl and bleeds through to the outer visible surface.

Home Depot brand mold and mildew remover along with a Magic Eraser. Then follow up a decent vinyl protectant.

You can buy 2 boxes of OxyClean for the same price, or a 5-10lb bag of sodium percarbonate (active ingredient) online. This is also the stuff that takes the orange sunscreen stains out of clothing.
