When a seasoned power boater says he just hopes it doesn't become a maintenance beast, you get a real idea why something like this is only considerable to own for a select few. Its not the purchase price, which was a deal, its the cost of running and maintaining it.
I hope its remains highly photographed! Congrats.

Freedom US1 Is the Coolest boat ever in my opinion !!! Myself and a gillion Friends went 1000s of miles in that baby over 15 years of poker runs!! Raced it before that with Bob Morgan before turning it into Freedom US1. Wow what a ride she is!! Congrats to the new owner!!! If you ever have any questions about how to run the boat let me know! I've got a little seat time in it! Conrats again!! Jim

Honestly, with all the adventures Jim Lee had in the boat, part of me thought it would wind back in his hands after the major overhaul turned out the way it has... Double Take is a beauty but does not have the notoriety / photo catching as Freedom...(how many 46' Skaters run over the century mark doubling as a tour bus?)
Dale is getting an epic 46!
