Three 3.3 Whipples should do it. Drives should last long enough to hit one hundy run.

My old 40 had Trip 496 HO's, Best I ever ran was 79.8mph. It also had a raised x, the rest was stock except props. I agree in order to get that thing to 100mph, better start looking into Turbines and/or cutting notches into the bottom.. Flat bottoms ride great, but create drag...

I rode in spotlight ,( the 40 that got dropped) the day I rode in it, 85 was it, going down stream, it had staggered 850’s, ( 89 was in the tattle take)split decision had side by side 700’s and ran a bit better, so if I were to guess, it’s going to need 1350’s side by side to do it, which are more than the boat is worth

Could get there with a serious NA program or whipples. Prob 750hp ea at least. Drives won’t last. If he upgrades to SCXs it will need probably 800ea at least.

Turn the 502s into 532s or 565s. Big heads and tunnel ram style efi intake. If you get the valvetrain right, spin them up to 6000-6500rpms. Keep the same props on it. The bravos might live if they stay in the water since torque wouldn’t be much higher. You’d be making speed with engine speed.

Don't even try man- Leave it stock, sell it and try something else. You will be WAY ahead.

True, if this were a twin setup you could probably get up to 90 but that third engine and drive adds a lot of cost to the project.

We had a triple HP600sci Baja 40 come in for upgrades. Added Whipple stage two to it and labbed Maximus props, 95-96mph was it. Never got to 100.
