Default Boat Wraps?

Anyone done a boat wrap in S. Florida? How long did it last in the Florida UV/Sun?

Thanks

May not be the answer you want but like any finish it's highly individual, comes down to how well one takes care of it. I personally would not do another wrap. Not because of long term durability, but because if a mark happens, there is simply not a lot you can do other than patch it. And you can see a patch if you look close, it's simply unforgiving with marks. Just my .02

But.......it's cheap

Wife has ice cream store - we were thinking of doing the boat as promotional wrap for a few years.

It should last 5-7 years if taken care of. We do them here in Sarasota / Bradenton.

agree 100%. You have to "baby" the vinyl. Cover the bumpers and all. The wrap will last longer than the nicks you get. With that said, its a wrap, you can always patch any areas that do become nicked as long as its solid colors. the 20ft rule applies.
You can only see a patch if you really walk up on boat and its not really that big of a deal.
I just finished my 2nd year and still looks great... it will not last forever though and since mine total transformed my boat, I will need to consider other options in the future.

Wrap is good tool to get a marketing message out there. The wrap will last long enough to get across the advert. campaign with proper care when docking, launching, etc. If you have a fuel fill close to the wrap make sure you get patch pieces. Easy to get some fuel on the wrap and damage is near instant. If you trailer install the wrap so it is not applied where bow stop or roller rides on the hull, will quickly wear thru.

ice cream store huh . . . the toughest thing about wraps is finding someone that has talent and works with more then clip art. Make sure you have someone that is familiar with boats and working a graphic to flow proper over the flare of the bow. Ryan Beckley is the only call you need to make. . . . no one has more experience.

This too, make sure you find someone with actual work you can inspect. I'm in the automotive industry on the fleet side and simply cannot tell you how many places do garbage work with wraps. You wouldn't believe how hard a good installer is to come by. And if your going to spend the $$ make sure their printer is 3M certified, installed by a certified guy (lowen, avery, 3m etc) That basically guarantees a good color match and install. No knife cuts when you take it offer, proper prep, and of course warranty on the work.
