Totally missed that the Pantera was a twin on the OP's post. So, I would more than likely choose the Joker.

While I wouldn't want to run 4-5s all the time in a 28, one of the best times I have ever had boating was in a 28 footer in REAL 4-5s. We weren't doing 70mph though, more like 30.

Joker Powerboats if I recall correctly only made 5 total boats for the 28 stepped bottom boat. The owner Brian H. of Joker kept one and was NON rigged - the one I seen in person in GA. It did have PPI interior with sit down race seats in it and a full cabin interior. I believe he still has it and most likely his 41 EPIC CC boat based off the 38 twin step powerplay hull.

If I recall correctly only 2 maybe -- 3 max of the 26 Joker Non Stepped boats were made.

want to say the 28 Joker life started out as CC boat If I recall correctly named Strike ?
whatever happened to the big CC project?

If there was ever a time he should bring back to market because CC boats in coastal areas are on fire in sales. Prob does not need to mess with boats anyways so with that said why bother. Kids - Family - and other businesses before anything else. there is one 41 made with 300 Verado s I seen it in person actually 3 times. Been on it but not moving. Just at rest. - was 70 mph boat. Twin stepped -- 38 PP hull bottom.

The joker is a better ride with a single than a pantera with twins. With twins it is stern heavy.
