The team at Fountain Powerboats rolled out another new model this week—the quad-engine 43NX performance center console.

That console hump looks like the engine cover from the boat built for the speed record.

The times they are a changing. Fountain as a company has been thru changing times before, been down, struggled, and come out on top, and hopefully they will again. If bass boats on steroids are what folks want, Reggie will give it to them. These sumbiotches will run as well. Bring your bait boys we be goin' for a ride.

What about that new 42 with big Merc power, can't wait to see the test run video on that biotch.

Not a great looking center console to me, the earlier ones looked much better.

Is that because it's missing the pronounced "Beak" and now looks like a generic "fish boat" vs fountain pedigree?

(Not my flavor either)

Is that the 48 Express cruiser hull cut down or is that a widened 42? Either way, I am surprised that they are only getting 75, I know it weighs 15,000lbs but there are faster 42's out there. The 38 and 42 standard hull CCs were some of the fastest CCs out there. There's a 38 down in Deerfield that's doing about 95.

I think its a new hull, does the other 42's have a 12 foot beam? That thing must be wide, not that I think its a very good looking boat. But I am not the target market.

The propeller size tells the whole story.

Pity the beak is all but gone, in my mind, it was like the prancing horse on a Ferrari, the 3 point star on a Benz, the Chev bow-tie etc. That said, it's a big beamy boat, has lots of potential for the fisho's and maybe they'll build an 'over the top' social version too.

The beak could actually be functional for the windlass and they shortned it!!!

Overall not impressed but not a fan of any CC really just was hoping their new model would have at least made me think, cool nice improvements, instead of, that's not any better than before.
