Anyone got an update on Payton's brother?
 

I was wondering if anyone had any new info on his condition. Our prayers are with them.

If we do not see anything by this afternoon; I will call him.
If the worst has happened, I am going to send flowers, and will gladly accept a few dollars mailed over to retroactively to make it from all of OSO.

If/when you talk with him please convey our concern for him and his family. Let us know if there's anything we can do. Dave

I just talked to Mark. The decision was made to remove his brother from the life support system at about 5pm EST. He passed away a short time after. They are going to have a visitation and memorial service in Boston this week, and the funeral and burial will be in Demotte, IN, early next week.

I will be heading up an effort to send flowers from all of OSO. Please post here on this thread if you are willing to send $5 or so in a cash or check form via USMail. I am not concerned about getting the money right away. I just want to get an arrangement sized and planned from all of OSO in time for the funeral next week.

Mark and I are from the same hometown of Demotte, IN, with about 4000 people total. This is like having one huge family, and we have lost someone very close.

Several people have already asked me about other ideas for the funding to go toward. I think this is a good idea as well. I imagine in our hometown, some type of fund will be setup at the DeMotte State Bank; this is usually done in tragic situations such as these. I will talk to Mark when he calls me about the funeral arrangements. Thanks everyone for your support.
