Boyne Thunder 2019
#1
Next year I'm taking my 1978 Scarab 300 to Boyne Thunder with my dad. This is the 1st time Im doing a poker run. I have trailered my boats before so Im not worried about that. What are some suggestions on places to stay? Also what tips can you give for a 1st time newbie doing this.

We have several rentals around town. If you have a large group, they sometimes work out good. If you only have a couple people Boyne would be your best choice. Thursday we have a fun run to Bay Harbor, that will give you a chance to get to know part of the run.

My advice would be to not miss the fun run. If you are invited to do the poker run then enjoy! But from last experience the fun run is a day or two before the actuall poker run and it was an absolute blast

If I remember correctly (this was two years ago) the poker run was on Saturday and the fun run was on thursday
if your in town by the big boats you’ll hear about the fun run I’m not sure if the info is on the Facebook page or what the plan is for 2019

I will post it on the FB page as we get closer. The norm is to meet in Round Lake at 11am on Thursday. I normally would have Pete in my boat up by 9 Mile point taking pics as the boats run to Bay Harbor. Might have to find him a ride if I don’t find a different boat by July.
