Al's is pretty good they are just a few miles from me and those prices are certainly within line, 100-150 each range. Theres actually a lot of finish work in older worn pieces. I have literally had hundreds possibly thousands of pieces chromed and the best i have used was Fini Finish up in Detroit but i dont believe they are still around.
Al's charged me $400.00 for all of these pieces for my 66 Donzi last year. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...db6e6cc630.jpg Best part I like about them is you send them the stuff and they send it back to you with a bill in the box. Now that's trust. |
There`s no alternative correct? The powdercoating chrome doen`t look so nice that I`ve seen.
Not sure if they were not done correctly (probably not like everything else) but these pieces were peeling and bubbling after a year. I`d rather not pay an arm and a leg for chrome only to have it peel again shortly. My other option may be to polish and clearcoat . |
How about an SS cleat
Just the first one I saw |
I've used this shop in St Louis to chrome my Thru-Hull fittings, the price was fair with quality work.

Unfortunately this is the norm now. Advanced playing in Nashville is the best around you will pay for it but it will be perfect. We have used them in several car builds |
