I saw the light and went with a twin OB CC. Best boating decision I've ever made. Reliable low maintenance with a practical layout. Prior to buying the Renegade I was in conversation with Velocity to build a VR-1 with single 400R but Steve left the company and I backed off the deal. I visited Concept and looked at their closed deck boat 30. I was also very impressed with Active Thunder who, at the time, were finishing their first 29 OB. Active Thunder offers a complete line of non CC outboard powered boats. Superboat will build a twin OB 30Y2K.

One boat that confused me a little when it came out was Nor-Tech's 360 Monte Carlo Flyer. It's got a 10' beam and 23 degrees deadrise and still does upper 70's with triple Verado 300's. It's actually based on the 340 center console hull, so the swim-steps I guess count for the extra 2', but that's serious performance for a roomy well-equipped boat. Only a handful of these made so far after the model debuted in 2014. The red 'Valentine's Edition' with triple 400R's is doing 90 mph!

Lots of compliments and several orders on the Hustler 39 Shotgun, at the Miami show, according to a friend. It's definitely a good compromise between a closed bow sports boat and entertainment/social platform. Kind of unique lines too, even though it's based on their previous Rocket 39, they come alive better on this outboard version. Triple 400R's have supposedly hit 100 mph.
