We've been out in some pretty rough stuff. IMHO it's subjective because different folks have different definitions of rough. My wife has a sensitive back, so we have to choose the water conditions more carefully. But, in many "rough" conditions the faster you run the better the ride! We normally cruise at 70-80 mph.

Most cats will not give a wet ride like the AO (Chris Cat) does. The AO has no spray rails. A heavier boat, will also ride rougher not smoother. A great hull will float from wave to wave ie: Skater, Motion, Spectre and Eliminator are some examples.
