An intriguing project more than a year in the making, https://speedonthewater.com/boat-res...rado-outboards

How fast was it with the 800-hp Teague Custom Marine power?

I'm almost positive it never saw 120. It was converted to a #6 boat from a factory bravo boat and the X was not right. Did not handle well or reach it's peak performance. GREAT boat for a project like this.

That boat was originally rigged with Weissman Drives from Nor-tech but because of the swimstep they could not mount the drives high enuff for them to perform properly. then the boat ran aground on Lake Havazu and we converted the boat to Number VI drives and the boat toped out just over 125 in Long Beach Harbor with the owner on board. Regards Dan

Very interesting project as that transom is not an easy obstacle to work around. I would love to see some transom shots.

Pretty sure that boat was around here a couple years ago and got repoed. I guess that would explain why is was bought as a bare hull

ah! I knew it wasn’t a #6 boat originally. Thing never ran right. Glad to see it was converted. Perfect candidate.

I was told the same thing, X dimension was off with the 6 drives, could never get the full potential out of the Teague 850's speed wise. Think I saw it a while back at one of TNT's docks. A couple of guys were trying to get one of the motors running. Anyway, cool to see the conversion. Would be awesome to see photos of the project. Or maybe some more photo's of it completed. Glad to read that it's running and handling well. I'd like to see some more of their 36's with egg beaters. Seems to be the trend.
