250- 300 Hrs is past when they should have been tore down and inspected. Some people get 500 hrs on twins with Bravos, others make it past the launch ramp on fresh drives. Do you want to be on the water running your boat or fixing drives in the middle of the season? I change my drive oil every 10-15 hrs and especially before Poker Runs. Get a working relationship going with a shop who actually knows what is going on with Bravo based drives in hi-performance and speed applications. Nothing will be a 100% cure all but there are some upgrades that can significantly improve your ownership experience.

When I purchased the boat she had 180 hrs, the drives were taken off at the end of each season and serviced. This is the first time I am servicing them. They did not run 250-300 hours with no services.

Many consider year end service to be pull the drive, grease the input shaft, maybe check the alignment and reinstall, not without the token lube change. Like I said before find yourself a reputable drive guy, one that talks to you, not over your head, have him take a look and give you some solid advise. Bravos do wear out, horsepower is their nemesis, you should be good with some routine service. But look into it before the season starts. Nothing worse than several weeks mid season F'ing around with drive issues.
