I remember going to see the movie with a bunch of our boat club members in 2006. There had just been a really titillating write-up in Powerboat magazine. We were all so excited we could hardly wait. The movie was such a bomb and extreme disappointment it is difficult to put into words just how bad it was. It sucked. It really sucked. I almost walked out when the "agenda" began to play out. It was primarily a political agenda movie and had almost no boating in it, the majority being in the credits. If anyone on here saw it and liked it I would love to hear why.
😂 One of those movies you either liked or hated, there was no in between but... “Political Agenda”? 🤔 Do tell...

I enjoyed the movie in theatres, Simply because it has boats in it. I also purchased a copy on DVD that was "director's cut" or something... starts off at a boat race, not inside a night club... the extras about how they rigged the mti with all the audio video bs is pretty interesting.

The scene where he takes the broad to Havana for a mojito in the mti is one of my favorite scenes in a movie ever.

Im not sure I noticed a political agenda ?

Just coke, guns, boats... and the cops

I enjoyed the movie as well. What's not to like, drugs, babes, fast boats, shoot em up good guy, happy ending. Classic action film. Could of used more hot chicks in bikinis.

I liked the movie too and have the DVD in my small collection. Now I'm interested in the above mentioned special edition!
