Default Blowers - 1050 Dominators or convert to EFI?

I have a pair of 177s with Dominator 1050s - getting ready to add them to my 454 mags.

I am no carb or spark-plug reading expert so the plan was low boost (5 or less), sub 4800rpms (it's a cruiser so dont need WOT ever), cooler plugs, decent gas dock gas in the 92-octane range, extra oil coolers, extra fuel delivery hoses etc. I am even changing props to reduce some of the load when going up on plane.

In addition, I had some cool Gil Exhaust riser blocks made up to be able to add in Air/Fuel ratio guages/O2 sensors...both sides if needed.

So the question - with the "smart" EFIs systems out today should I sell the Dominators and go EFI and let the computer keep me from possibly detonating or are carbs low risk enough for this application?

Heavy boat w blowers could be a disaster .... could use the extra layer of safety if it makes sense.

Carbs. That combination has been ran for years. You can probably get the jetting off the net or the tech section here. You're probably going to be looking at another $3000+ for EFI. I just purchased all the components for 2 EFI systems and the cost is more than advertised once all is added up. And I'm replacing 2 perfectly running carbs that have been flawless for 18 yrs that hold a consistent 12 8-12.3 AFR throughout all throttle positions.

I have freshened my 454's with 177's this winter (well one is done the other is still at the builders) I have added Holler Sniper EFI, no real world testing yet. On the dyno it made 617hp with dyno headers and mufflers at 5500. It was more than I was expecting
The only reason I switched is, my original set up was 750s. It was very expensive with fuel pumps, filters, lines etc.
I love the interface available with the holley set up

We have 871 w/ dual holly 750s on a single engine cat. Love the look and function of the carbs. Roots blowers and carbs=great combo.

The stock carbs will idle like an EFI when tuned correctly. A little cold blooded since there is no choke, but 1-2 minutes at 1000rpms solves the issue on cold start ups.

I just put on a Holley Sniper, and the extra rigging like a good fuel pump, lines, etc was probably another $600.
