I am coming to Dale Hollow this weekend for the first time for my GF's birthday. We have never been on this lake, but have been wanting to for a while. What is a must do while we are there, and what should we avoid? Should be rolling in on Friday around noon. We will be staying on a houseboat near Allons. If anyone would like to meet up for a tour, dinner, drinks or whatever, we are coming to have a good time. Thanks, Joe

Allons put you between Obey and Mitchell Creek area. Most the stuff going on is a Sunset and Sulphur Creek Marinas both have restaurant and bar
Mitchell has a decent restaurant but do they ever keep it cold in there, might have been better if its real hot outside. Gas is $1 higher then at Willow Grove
East Port Marina is farthest away unless you put in there. Have great food and a real nice ride, but watch the bouys when traveling, its gets shallow in spots.
Willow Grove has the greatest service on the lake and nice little food place with outside seating

Last time I was at Sulphur Creek, they had a restaurant but didn't serve alcohol, but that was a year or so ago. I didn't think any of the marinas on the Kentucky side served alcohol. But yes, Sunset is very nice and has a great bar. My home lake is Cumberland, but Dale Hollow is by far my favorite lake to visit. Its beautiful, there are no private docks and most house can't landscape so when you are on the water you really feel like you are away from civilization. You will love it!!!
