Really depends on what you used as a wax...any polymer based wax cannot use conventional soap. We haven’t washed ours other than water up until this point but I will be using fountain of youth soap for this reason.

hydro silex is not marine proprietary....google it and check it out. My buddy turned me onto this stuff after a ton of research and this stuff is amazing. Have since been using it on all of our vehicles in addition to the boats. Easy is an understatement....you definitely need to buy the hydro wash as to not have to reapply the hydro so often. I’ve not touch the boat since last application in the beginning of June and it’s shine is amazing ....boat doesn’t get all stained up. I think you will love it.

Good luck. Send pics after you get the boat all shined up.

( I couldn't resist )......

Benihana GP around 1978 ish... San Francisco..... Arneson's shop, a bunch of racers parked up & down the street. I made a ton of cash washing the boats / trailers......
Ya gotta love those guys back then..... ( Howard Quam, Rocky & the rest of the teams..... They always had cash!!!!

( I learned a lot of detailing tricks )

No but they have a marine product on their website. Sounds like you're just using the standard issue Marine Silex....
