The 300 Optimax (2 stroke) is better on fuel than the 300 Verado.

Would the 30” be too long for my boat? Currently I’m running 25”.
Someone also recommended that I get Optimax as the Verados might be too heavy, anyone has any opinions on this?

Friend of mine has a 302 sport he re powered with twin 25" 275 Verados from Optimax. Boat runs better than ever.

Thanks for the info. Do you know if he had his transom or stringers redone? I know these boats are prone to soft spots as I noticed one area by the center console on mine is a little soft.

No he has not, he bought his new in I believe 1994? and its been on a lift in a boathouse, never spent a night in the water.
