Default American Ethanol Wins Fifth Straight Lake Of The Ozarks Shootout And More Highlights

That's a wrap! There were several highlights from the 31st annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri. Find out why the overall Top Gun winner for the fifth year in a row, American Ethanol, lost a couple of hatches and who else won their classes.

Congrat;s to everyone that ran to put on the show....If I may add, other notables is OSO regular Tom Kennedy in his 28 Skater (119mph) as well as Mark and Thomas Weigl from Ontario running their Tuff's to class wins (98mph and 112mph respectively)

So if I'm reading this correctly there are 69 boat classes and in many brackets there is only 1 competitor?

Those Tuffs had just a wee bit of pad and gear cases in the water and that's it.

Need at least one, if not two more boats competing for Top Gun against AE.

.
Any Tuff I have seen Mark run or teach his owners to run properly/safely - they are boats until you put them into gear and then you literally fly them on the water. .

One of the best fit and finished boats going - DCB quality - even when shoehorning an engine in, the layout is incredible.

Pretty much an exhibition, IMO.

I think it’s a catch-22. Generalize classes, and racers won’t show up because they don’t have a chance to win.
So, create more classes and most win a trophy. They err on the side of more participants and that’s what’s best for spectating and charity.

The Performance boat center Skater laid down a hell of a speed today, too bad it was today and not Sat or Sun though.
