Default An Aussie, a Yank, a Kraut, a Pom and a Kiwi go boating.....

Just a quick little story from today. A German mate, who's a total novice to boating, bought a 10 year old Sea Ray a few months ago and he's lovin' it. It's only a little 175 with a 4 cyl sterndrive and he's learning. Headed out today, 5 guys (embarrassing), comfortably more than 1,000 pounds on board, and we had a good day out at 40 mph. I'm currently boatless so I'm always up for a ride somewhere.

A few pics to follow and hopefully you'll crack a smile.

Small yard where he stores the boat, launches out the back of the streeet beside the yard. They've just bought a new tractor, not a big one but it does the job.

Jumped onboard the boat and they tow us down the lane and through a small paddock to the 'boat ramp' lol.

Had to open the gate........

And we are on the ramp......

Back her off into the water and away we go. You can see several quality boats in the area!

Only had two stops today the first at a beachside bar 'Drifters' for a couple of cold frothies before lunch. Nice little spot, a few tired old expats and locals hang around, very cheap, friendly and the beers are super cold.

Cloudy day, a little bit of rain so we moved to the next stop for lunch. Probably 4 miles down the beach, we stopped at a place on the sand called 'Sunshine Beach' for some fresh local food and of course, some more ice cold frothies.

Rak Rua, you should start a you tube channel, I bet you'll get a million hits

love seeing your part of the world and some boat story telling like these!

...you can also cover those Thai boats and how the fishermen maintain them, would be cool, go out with them and shoot some fishing footage, big time!

Late avo', time to head back so we phone ahead to have the boys waiting with the trailer in the water when we arrive. Surprised to see the trailer ready and waiting but the new tractor has been replaced by a Ford pick up and a Ford SUV thethered to the front!! Anyway, their combined efforts pull the little boat and the big guys out of the water then the pick up drags us back to the yard.....

Up the sand, through the gate.......

Dixeybelle and Lou-Lou are still grazing as we drive through their paddock and back to the road to take us home....

Back home safely, which is more than I can say for the new tractor......
This is why they used the two cars to,pull us out..........

Don't know where these John Deere's are put together but the steering arm end joint has sheared off. True Thai form, they worked around it and didn't let us down. Great job fellas.
A good fun day, a few mates, no chick hassles, some beer and a boat. Too easy!

@ CT, we had her out two months ago and I got 45 WOT with 4 on board. Surprised me how well she ran in the humidity here. Cheapest little boat Sea Ray have ever built, there's lots you could criticize if you want to look closely but as a starter boat, there's plenty of good things too.

@Noli, most of the YouTube channels on Thailand focus on sleaze and they do pretty well. I'm too discreet to post sleaze and too lazy to post anything else!
