Down here now. Just my opinion that stock and super cat are great racing. I never really get into unlimited. Usually it’s only ever a few boats and mismatched or broken. Big difference is they don’t have as many of the other p class boats. But the field is competent for stock and supercat. overall I thought the crowd seems down this year. Seems like a lot less people then years past. What I find annoying is the time between races. I fully understand the logistics of an hour between races when you have a full field of boats to get in an out. But When stock ran at 12:30. Then wait a full hour for two boats to come out and turn a couple laps, then wait another full hour for supercat to come out it is apparent they are milking things to fill a day.

I will say OPA had Ft Myers right. 15 mins between races. As one set was headed in the other was headed out. The only one that took a little extra was the last race. One of the boats had issues at the dock they gave them a few mins to get it ready

Just curious to know if the contract RWO has any sort of “performance clause” built in? Meaning I’m sure they promised the city a lot of things that were intangibles at the hearings. If they fail to pay the city the fees they promised will we see this entire “Bidding War” for the contract repeat itself in the coming months.

Stock and supercat has been great racing... the rest of the classes have no boats, so i cant say i blame RWO...
Time between races is way too much. I literally took a 2 hour nap out anchored by "the wall" wednesday and missed nothing.
Sunset pier, truman navy pier, mallory square, you cant tell the difference.
same vendors, exact same deal... we did opt to not do the VIP tent this year, so cant comment on that.
The truman waterfront complex is a very nice area now.
Overall i think RWO did an ok job, but its clear most are just doing things "how they've always been done"...
