Get The Name Right
What’s in a name? A lot—especially if the name happens to be yours, https://www.offshoreonly.com/article...the-name-right.

Unfortunately you need to encounter really bad professional service/ conduct to appreciate outstanding delivery....Journalism is no different and your explanation is well defined as to the paper's shortcomings and what sould have been the proper corrective methods of your trade
.
Thankfully, OSO has SOTW and the journalistic talents of Matt and Jason to keep the stories accurate and cutting edge...Keep up the great work guys!

Blah blah blah the fact that you identify that members here would not have picked up on the obvious error shows why the error was made. Nobody cares!
It’s boat racing. It’s almost impossible to keep up with who is sanctioning what events. Guaranteed if you asked the residents, businesses and even fans most of them wouldn’t have had a clue either.
Being as though Speedomthewater.com is free, is it the modern day equivalent of the Florida Weekly?

Access to our news is free. (But worry not, SOTW is just fine when it comes to revenue.). But whether you give away access to your content or charge for it, you're still obligated to get the story right. And neither the Florida Weekly nor the Key West Citizen did.
For the Key West Citizen, the total failure is particularly hard to understand as that publication has run—with permission—speedonthewater.com stories on the race situation in Key West for months.
Consumers, fans, general interest readers, etc.., are entitled to be confused, indifferent or ignorant. Media outlets reporting on the sport they follow are not. The standards we're held to are rightfully higher. That's the job. If you're not committed to it, move on.
There was nothing mysterious, hidden or unclear about Race World Offshore producing Key West this year, as well as for the next four years. As I said above, it's OK for readers not necessarily interested to miss that. But if you're reporting on the event with a front-page story? Yeah, you should get it right. Never before has media been more "on notice" to get it right.
Here is our coverage of the APBA series: https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...eason-coverage
Here is our coverage for the RWO Key West event: https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-n...-west-coverage
If you can find better, by all means, go for it. If you don't like offshore powerboat racing, don't follow it—no one forces you. And for the record, what I wrote was:
"For those of you who may have missed the most obvious and inexplicable error—meaning none of you—the Super Boat nomenclature is a product of Super Boat International, the former producer of the Key West races."
Pretty sure most people on this board know RWO produced Key West.

And how cool was it that Louie’s extended their hours so our party of six could have after dinner drinks (that Andrea did not need)? 😂
