That's why I take nothing for granted about the applications and the used boat market. Most think merc power and always not the case when it comes to wake boats especially.

Anyways with that said Marine Power has gone back forth with ecms thru out .. Can you post a pic of your ecm because here is what Marine Power used thru out the 2000 s for ecms --- Mefi 3 and Mefi 4 and then Mefi 5 and E controls. Those do not use any of the same scanning adaptors EXCEPT MEFI 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 - 4 a and 4 b use 94005.

None of those ecms will work with the Merc 555 adaptor 94006.

This is also where I save one money for not buying the correct cables / scan adaptors.

A good clear pic of the ecm will help me and get you the correct adaptor

I would suggest to anyone to get the MEFI 1 thru 4 adaptor for 49 extra dollars as well. You can charge to scan other people engines or your buddies engines. Anyways a way to make back some of the money spent on the scan tool. Or do a partnership buy in so at least a scan tool can be used in group at one price instead of everyone buying a scan tool. Something to think about.

These Black engines from 2001 and back till 1993 and even Merc racing engines , volvo penta , indmar and so on as well, they all used MEFI 1 thru 4 and 4 a and 4 b.

Coming up on last call for dinner here. Boating season starting soon and the 3 that have paid me so far said they are players. So as of today I have just 3 buy ins. This coming Monday I am ordering regardless. Just saying.

I have to bite the bullet and get one. I need the one that does the whole 9 yards on 2008 Merc. 525's.
But I need it like now. I can't get any marine in Jacksonville to get me in just to do a scan. Motor is spitting, dieseling, (or whatever it's called, seem to cycle and not an even noise) above 1600 RPM, a few backfires.
