candyman35 11-06-2002 11:26 PM

Crazyhorse,
Where did you take the pictures of all those awesome planes? Are they all privately owned? Those P-51's are fantastic and to think I ***** about keeping my props polished. :p :D

Crazyhorse 11-07-2002 08:44 AM

The top pic is Me and my wife barb and the two dogs standing in front of our last airplane. It's a 1949 Ryan Navion, which is a North American Aircraft design. North American designed and built the P-51.
The P-51 and corsair pics were taken at the Muskegon airport (KMKG) this summer at a benefit breakfast for Wings of Mercy. There were four Mustangs present. The P-51 "Moonbeam McSwine" is owned and flown by Vlado Lenoch ( I believe he is in the Chicago area) and the P-51 "Excalibur" and the Corsair are owned and flown by Jim Read from Valparaiso Indiana.

Sydwayz 11-07-2002 08:47 AM

That Corsair is awesome. Anyone remember Pappy and the Black Sheep Squadron?

Crazyhorse 11-07-2002 08:48 AM

Yup. Is it History Channel that reruns the show now?
The second pic is of our SeaRay at Great Lakes Marina in Muskegon.

Just Say N2O 11-07-2002 09:11 AM

Crazy, I'm impressed! Posting pictures, and they look great.

Crazyhorse 11-07-2002 11:21 AM

Thanks Bill. What's the plan for your engines and transmissions this winter? I'll be adding some pics this afternoon.

ClassCig38 11-07-2002 11:34 AM

Hi Dave! Great pictures of your "babes", ALL OF THEM! Yes, Barb and I did mention our birthdays being the same....that really how ironic sometimes....how friends are drawn toward and meet other friends with so many similarities. A lot has to do with our passion for passtimes and hobbies. Boating, flying, and in our case, cocktailing!!! he hee. Well, thanks for a peak at some really fine flying machines. I am also impressed by your posting skills. I haven't even attempted yet.....hope to see you guys soon.

Crazyhorse 11-07-2002 11:37 AM

CC38, thanks. I just learned how to do pictures last night. Did you and Mark get any photos of the COPS run yet? I'm really anxious to purchase some. How's everything going? Looking forward to Key West? If we hit the lotto we WILL be joining you there. Our treat.

ClassCig38 11-07-2002 11:45 AM

Ooops a type - O in my message above with the wording...was interupted here at my office...with work and phone calls! While I'm trying to post and read the boards! Anyway, looks like I'm upping my posts at a very rapid rate.....it should show an accounting of lurkers, as well! Later... back to work.

ClassCig38 11-07-2002 11:55 AM

Well, Mark received the proofs and they are about 1/2" by 1/2" pics. We've just been jammed with work, winterizing, my niece is getting married next month, so I've been doing the "good Aunt" duties of helping out with details. And, we're hoping to get the inside of our house painted while we're in FL !! Great idea, we shove all the furniture in the middle of each room, cover and go to FL to play, while our friends hubby who is a professional painter, whips through and it's done by the time we return! Ceilings are white again, trim and windows white and all walls freshly painted....what a country! Still have to pick out the final colors, buy the paint....and we leave in 13 days 8 of which are full working days......Will get those prints ordered....MR. CIG are you out there???? That is one of YOUR projects to complete! Orders from headquarters. LOL Well gotta run....:D Give my best to Barb and the pups..

CelticPride 11-07-2002 12:02 PM

Love ths pics of the Corsair and P-51. My Dad flew Corsairs and Hellcats off carriers. He's got pictures all over his house. I love looking at them.

Just Say N2O 11-07-2002 12:35 PM

Dave, I would like to talk with you about the engine/trans situation. I have to clarify a couple of things with the Mart Dock, and then I'll give you a call.

timucin 11-07-2002 12:47 PM

A side shot of the P-51 Crazy Horse. Barb and her instructor Lee Lauderback are standing in front. Lee's probably the highest-time Mustang driver around, over 4000 hrs in them.

Bill, you need to click on "post reply" in the lower left corner of the latest post, not in the new quick "post reply at the end of the thread. The "browse" button is below the box that you type your reply in.

Crazyhorse 11-07-2002 07:58 PM

And just to set the record straight, I'd never INTENTIONALLY pick off Santy Claus. But hey, sometimes air traffic control don't do so good.

That's a great photo of the Wellcraft! Nice job. Attaching a pic is pretty easy after you figure it out, right Bill? How about you and Jane meet us for a cocktail some evening? Maybe at The Beltline Bar?

Just Say N2O 11-08-2002 03:50 PM

That would be Great. How often do you get this way? What do you do with the "girls" when going out?
