Appreciate the input fella's. Nothing against PQ but they are towards the bottom of my list. Wife doesn't care for the looks and you see 500 every weekend over here. They are built well but not the best rough water ride. They do have a sweet cabin and big cockpit.

There’s a handful of 39 Quattro’s out there that have been for sale for awhile from $149k-169k. I’m sure they won’t be offended by real offers.

Pretty much everything I've read says that they run real loose but fast. Don't care for the loose part.

I know this is going to piss in your cheerios guys, but Cig isn't the holy grail for everyone. While I do like them, they don't fit our boating style since we stay on our boat most weekends. The bare cabin is the downfall for us, especially with a 7 yr old daughter. I do know that Tiger as its local to me. Great boat and priced right for sure.

No piss in my Cheerios. It took me a few years to realize the significance of THE #1. You'll come around eventually.:D

Thats because people who have ridden in them dont have boats that can go 95mph. Theyre used to their straight bottom 15,000lb Cigarettes that run 65mph. Ill take the ride in a staggered 39 Outerlimits VS an equal powered, side by side 37-39 boat at an equal speed any day of the week. Those people arent comparing apples to apples. Take a 38 TG that runs mid 80's and cruises at 60. The 39 OL with 525's runs 95mph and cruises at 70. Obviously water gets harder the faster you go, and you are ALWAYS going faster in the Outerlimits.

I would guess you need to ride in one to see what they are like. I've been asking and wondering the same, but I'm not going to make a decision on a boat from what I've read on internet forums. I think you should consider a 1999-2003 42 Legacy OL.

302 - how does the 39 Unlimited or 42X stack up against 39/42 OL ?

I'd love one if I could find one in those years. As for the 39 OL, I personally know 3 people who have owned them and all the stories match. I've run the 41 SL to 100 multiple times and never felt loose or needed any tab.

39 Unlimited and 42X ride more like the old 37/42 Outerlimits. The 39 Outerlimits and a 46 Outerlimits ride a little harder, but keep in mind with equal power the 46 Outerlimits will outrun a 42 Legacy. The more efficient a boat is, the harder it will ride. Thats always been the case. In bigger water you notice it less, but in like 1' light chop when you have it trimmed perfect, and its just loosened up running across it is when you can feel the difference the most. The Outerlimits just feels like alot more efficient bottom and you can tell its not displacing the water as much as a Cigarette.

The 39 starts to get hairy over 100 but with stock 525's you're not there yet.

I haven’t been over 100 in one but mid 90’s you can run with 2 fingers on the wheel. 🤷🏼‍♂️
