Looking for something in the 38ft range. MUST HAVES..trailer, full cabin, step bottom, prefer Merc power. No Fountains, Hustlers, Bajas. Nothing over 140k

That 38 Powerplay at Fastboats is more money than you want to spend but it is a really cool boat especially with 700 mercs.

I have a buddy looking to sell his 34 Powerquest with 500hp Mercs with trailer $49k. Great boat, runs fantastic

I would look, look, and look again for a staggered 700/NXT vee bottom that is the closest to your price range. Cant go wrong with that setup and the best resale out there. There was a 39 Nortech with 700/NXT package for like $159K a little while back.

It is a really cool piece but not at 200k.

A 38 PQ would be minimum but towards the bottom of the list.

A 38PP would be on my list. It's so much more boat than anything else in the ' typical 38 foot' range. It's more like if 'Black Thunder made a 38 footer' if you have never seen one in person. I've had a 37AT tied up to a 38PP, and the PP dwarfs the AT, or a 38TG, or anything similar. It would be a fantastic boat for the Great Lakes, and the listed price doesn't seen terribly out of line as long as its immaculate and there some flexibility down to a sale price.

Can you send a link? The one I seen says 700/NXT but shows some carb motor and XR drives?

Same boat I think. They converted it.

It was listed a couple weeks ago with 700sci's.

AJ's 38 PP would be one to get if he was ready to sell.

I am unfamiliar with the history of these three boats but found some suggestions, two are almost within your budget and probably could be purchased within your budget, caveat emptor....my lawyerly way of saying get a survey, buyer beware. Click on the links, good luck in your search.

None of my business, but that TSTG that Speedy listed looks like a much better deal than that Sonic, but I may be biased....

Would think it would be easier to move into and out of it you wanted to.

Only issue is I doubt any of those are valid, that site is horrible, they never take old ads down. The first one was put there on 02-sep-2013.
The next one was 06-july-2016 and the last 19-july 2016.

I have sen boats listed on that site that I know have been sold one or two times after the listing.

That's the boat! Randy sold it last year with those junk motors, new owner repowered with orange 700s (not positive they were new at that time). His OSO ad showed the orange 700s but his Fastboats ad seems to have mixed up the pics. Boat is 15 years old, not sure 199K will happen but the 38 PP is a great boat.

Find 35K more for your budget and buy AJ's boat. Between him and the original owner that boat is flawless.

At or above $140K there is now way I'm even entertaining buying a boat with bravo's on it...... But thats just me.

There’s a couple Donzi 38ZRs listed that I think could be bought for $140k, they’ve been listed a while. This one here on OSO seems to have a lot of money out into it to make it turn key.

That 38ZR in the OSO classifieds has been sold for awhile now.

Take a good look at what’s out there with 6’s for sub 150k... better have some cash left over to freshen the drives and transmissions

I would low ball the Driven 46RR and take the stupid name off then, redo that god awful interior. Mechanically that boat is fresh, just looks horrendous but for probably $8-10k in paint work and $8k-10k in upholstery makes it look totally different.

I agree 100%. I'm not looking for big power. Don't want the maintenance of big power. You can rebuild ALOT of bravos for the price to rebuild 6's. Not to mention the cost of props.

That yellow 39 NT with 525's for 100K was a deal, it sold and did the KW PR the next week!
