So where do these AMG boats go? Are they customer boats? Do they go on display somewhere with Mercedes ?

The Cigarette display yesterday at the show was impressive, albeit not one I/O model; I personally like the 39' Top Gun, the consumers are driving the reason for the display of all outboard models. The majority of manufacturers were showcasing outboard powered models, and there were some surprises with the attention to detail, not to derail a Cigarette thread.

The show made evident the outboard trend. Seeing a 50 plus foot boat in the water with 6 outboards in impressive, regardless of brand. It may not run 100+ mph, but it was never designed or intended for that purpose, but it is a boat you wont' forget.

Oh look it`s a race to see how dumb you can look by putting as many egg beaters on the back of a boat as possible. So ugly and overpriced

I agree . One thing we can all agree on is we all like horsepower but seriously 6 outboards no that looks dumb . But as they say , to each there own . If you do like these boats , be patient cuz you’ll be able to buy one for a 3rd of what I’d cost new

Personally, I like it, but I can see why some would not. Matt stated 5 have been built, and at 3 mil each, that's 15 million in sales. Skip's no dummy...

1) Diesels won't make it run 80
2) 1350s MIGHT but if one breaks you're done
3) I bet 4 450s still push it 50 so if you break 1-2 you can still get home. Or to the party.

I think a pair of 1550hp Man or 1620hp MTU hooked to Arneson’s would push it pretty damn close to 80mph....

going 80 with all those ugly things on the back or going 75 with Diesels and a clean transom, the latter every day of the week and twice on sunday .

1- 3mm Tirawhatever

or Red's 80 Nortech (listed for 2.7) and that 45 Maximus (listed for 179K).........leaves $121,000 for diesel and gas! Both of these 10+ year old boats will turn more heads at the dock than that 6 eggbeater sled
