My guess(?) Is that setup cost more than those 6 outboards. No idea, but a guess.

While tastes will always vary, I don't think anyone can question the success of the 59-footer or the decision to build it. It was never intended to be sold and produced in volume. The $3-plus-million entry fee pretty much guarantees that.

Just a couple of data points. Carry on, gentlemen.
Agree Matt. Had the opportunity to to ride on this boat Friday it was amazing to say the least.

I thought cost want an object to these big ballers??? But on another note, most of these guys love the “look at me factor” and if it just had two diesels with Arnesons instead of six outboards they wouldn’t get the attention at the docks they crave...

I have yet to see the Cig logo on the side of a boat ranging from a FIrefox up to the 515 not draw attention on any given day - with diesel or Big Blocks under a hatch or O/B clamped on the transom.

First I'm a Mercedes and AMG fan. I also like Cigarettes in general. My only criticism is I'm bored with the AMG Cigarette theme...………….

Granted ... but seeing any pic of the past AMG 50's still will make a person take more than a glimpse of the photo.. A friend once said that the MTI Mercedes set the stage for high end theme boats but Gino's Lambo build was a kill shot to the AMG projects.. then he did another.

The AMG/Mercedes partnership with Cigarette is not a "theme" though. This is a co-branding partnership. Both are invested. Both are capitalizing on marketing. For the Cigarette 515, Mercedes engineers were actually involved with designing and modifying components to be lighter and stronger. That's a lot different than taking a car's interior, headlights, tailights, and hood ornaments; and incorporating them into the build.

Gino's boats, as well as some of the other "theme boats" are just a buyer investing in his//her own boat, with parts from Lambo/Ferrari/MB, etc. Sure, the company is involved. But no one from the automobile side is investing as a way of promoting their brand.

^^^100% correct on your statement, but if you are dropping the $$$ on the AMG cig, are you and everyone that looks at the three letters on the side not immediately associating the boat to the Mercedes performance line?.... just by association its assumed the AMG letters makes the boat better and faster than the "standard" cigs that anyone could buy.(LOL)

phenomenal boats in any regard
