Interior is in slow motion I hate to say

If I knew it was going to take so long

I would have left the original one in

It wasn't that bad at all.

Who is doing the work? Seems impossible to find a good shop that does this stuff anymore. I have a friend restoring a 20 cig and needs his done.

Mike at FineLine in Hallendale....and he'll already have the patterns because he is doing my Cig20. ;)

bulletbob 07-16-2020 08:27 AM

Mike is one of the best. He stays busy year round because of the quality of work he does. I hope to have him do an interior for me in the future.

Cool Oldschool, not that far away. Do you have a build thread going?

He has a set of old interior to at least start with. Didn't buy that off of you did he?

DallasBAJA 07-16-2020 12:53 PM

subbed.

If his name is Eddie, yes. I'm going with a different style for my interior. ;) :cool-smiley-011: I really don't believe it would be right to do a "build thread, because the only thing that I did was remove the old interior and tow it to the painter. LOL I've got a picture album going, will post when it's done. The scamdemic has kinda phucked up the timeline.... but getting close!

Hell yes!!!

lucky strike 08-28-2020 10:19 AM

The engines run like the low hour 525's with 168.2 hrs should, Perfect!
The engines are just as described by Randy who owns R & T Automotive in Lancing. Mi
He was a pleasure to deal with & is extremely knowledgeable.
He checked them from top to bottom and ran all the computer scans.
He then sent them all to me to be assured exactly what I was getting for my money
I couldn't have asked for engines with a better history 95 hrs below 749 RPM.
95% of the hrs. are below 3499 rpm's, all the hours are fresh water use
He then prepared them for shipping which went off without a hitch.
Id'e highly recommend him for your boating needs in his neck of the woods
His # is 517 484 - 6335. He is also a Cigarette owner

What's the going price for a 200 Hour-ish 525?

Getting there

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...a30a204d9.jpeg

Hopefully front seats and side walls will be in next week.
We then can at least test the boat....Rear seat to follow

speicher lane 09-19-2020 08:33 PM

Nice choice on the "Diamond" pattern....How long did you think the "project" would actually take and it was in April that you were selecting patterns for the seats - and you are still chipping away perfecting her. Awesome job none the less

lucky strike 09-19-2020 08:56 PM

Seats

My interior guy who does all the work for our dealership
has not been feeling well and its been a long time getting it done.
He is a master at his craft.
Mechanically its ready but can't go in the water to test without front seats.
Hopefully they will be in this week....If I knew this would have taken so long
I never would have done it. The original interior was really nice, just a little faded.

You can see the interior was certainly good enough
But I wanted to make the boat like brand new!

Ill I can say i WOW!!! First class all the way. Thank you for sharing...

It is an incredible overhaul and you did pass the point of no return... at least when the final piece of interior is put into place, you can just run the boat and enjoy a job well done vs. hymning and hawing about updating a small project as you will have gone through the boat before actually running into problems on the water
