I had the same brand hitch in the second picture. I was always worried about the 2 small tabs toward the truck side holding the ball piece to the hitch. Thought that was the weak link. Guess I was wrong. Lol

Aluminum hitches are cool looking and great for towing a 12 foot aluminum fishing boast with a 10 hp motor on it . If you are going to tow a 35 foot or longer twn big block performane boat use a steel fabricated hitch rated for more than what you think your boat weighs . Manufacture specs often leave out thngs like a full load fuel , 2 anchors , tools props , other sppulies .Coolers full of beverages ETC ETC those items could add another 1 to 2 thousand pounds . Be safe not worth trying to pick your boat out of a ditch when the hitch fails . Just my 2 cents RG.

Holy! Is that second one a rapid hitch? I tug 7-8k worth on one when I drag the cobra around. Rated 10k, maybe not.

https://www.bulletproofhitches.com/

had the weight safe, just didnt feel comfortable close to the limits... got rid of it and went with a bulletproof, overkill rated at 36k? yes... but $360 is cheap compared to the boat, the truck....most importantly my family's safety....
