Which BBC 502/540 Exhaust Gasket Is BEST?
WELL... It's time once again to replace the header gaskets and I'd really like to find a gasket that will last a full season of boating. Any suggestions, as you can imagine it's quite an ordeal with triples.

I have a gasket maker who makes me basically a crush gasket that seals very well. They have to be torqued correctly as they help with the usual slight warping of the exhaust flange and cylinder head exhaust flange that can take place over time and especially after an engine overheat. This is 100 percent all USA gaskets made for me.

We use copper crush gaskets...they don’t leave any residue if they need to be replaced. Never had an issue with them.

Well I am finally getting around to this and now the link does not work. Is there a Part Number for these gaskets so I can order them through Amazon or Summit Racing?

I had better luck with these in pic below than cometic MLS for exhaust gaskets.
A company in Dallas makes them. they are fairly thick and crush when torqued - graphite material for a good seal especially for slight warped aluminum exhaust manifolds or imperfections on the manifold flange . . . |

I use Cometic and purchase them from Eddie Young.

I second, third and forth the Cometic gaskets. Eddie is great to deal with
