this rally is kind of a joke IMO... It’s propped up by imaginary money and hope. Doesn’t seem to be any reason to short the market anymore if you can just print money. Oh well. Is what it is. |
I sold it because they had a lot of debt and Carnival didn`t , so I sold RCL and picked up Carnival,
that was not a good move, Carnival kept dropped immediately after I bought it and Royal kept going up .... so after the last 2 days I`m finally even on Carnival , I should probably sell it but then if it keeps going up like Royal I`ll be pissed lol |
Tesla at almost $900 a share is comical...I see major headwinds for them. Not sure what investors are thinking. Oil is super cheap, there cars are expensive...who knows. Do the opposite of what you think and you’ll make money apparently.

HAL has been on my watch list forever. Bought it back 4 weeks ago and I'm doing well. Wanted to buy a few thousand more shares of this and SLB, but it keeps running and I'm not going to chase it. Especially when I see pictures of all this oil equipment in a dusty lot furloughed.

Real estate is tangible to investors, the stocks not so much. The cruise lines got another hit today, not re-opening until june/july. |

Also Apple 1 year 2.5 & Chase 5 year 3%
|
Very tough if we get going again offer a month free or any perk it will come back slow

Confused me again. Bought in 80s. And can't sell now. What's the hurry after 35 or so years. And having a hard time believing 35 years later they did bad on that investment.
I'm sure overall it has worked out--but at 85 it's a bad time to try and step away in the face of a looming recession and zero demand. Real estate is cyclic in nature and lacks liquidity -YMMV. |
So, what to buy? What sector to sell?

With the Rona vaccine around the corner in 2021, I'm thinking it may be getting close to the right time to bring some airlines back into the portfolio.
|
Cruise lines are still cheap. Might take a year or so for them to get back to previous highs.

I'm fairly interested in Bitcoin at the moment - been buying small amount lately to learn the 'system'. It's initially, complicated, from a pure stock/mutual fund buyer perspective, but not impossible. If you haven't dove into it yet - you should at least take a look and see if it's worth your gamble. A few financial institutions are interested, as well.

Agree market is over sold. But bought SBE, Switchback Energy on 11/23 at 19.87. Closed today at 36.70. They're working a merger with Chargepoint, who makes charging stations which are growing like crazy across the country. A way to get into the electric car future and not buy into the car companies. Google it and do your homework and decide for yourself if you think it is a ground floor buy with a high ceiling future, or something else.
