Unfortunately I believe someone lost their life today on lake in boat explosion. We slip at Formula Boats by the Grand Glaize and while cleaning our boat after coming off lake we heard a loud boom and a bit later I could smell something burning. 4 persons on board with 3 making it off boat and early word was 4h was found in engine compartment though divers were on scene. Boat ended up on bank by the furthest dock out coming into Formula and Osage Beach fire was extinguishing it from land. Prelim article out on Lake Expo.

2nd time in two years we had a day without a breakdown. Today was a good day.

• We are monitoring updates and recommendations from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control), WHO (World Health Organization), and CDPH (Chicago Department of Public Health) regarding the spread of COVID-19.
• Chicago Harbors Closure: Unfortunately, all docks, parking lots, launch ramps, and other harbor properties are currently closed through May 30th in accordance with current Chicago Park District closures. Boat yard access begins Monday, May 4th with amended policies listed below. Boaters who ignore city orders and attempt to bring their boat into the harbors during the closure could have their permit revoked.

yup our local lake back open but only 2 people per boat or $1K fines. Pucking stupid.
