I had a 47' for 10 years, sold it two years ago to someone in Oklahoma. Had the 496HO/Mag and Bravo 3 X Diesel drives (they were a direct bolt on and after replacing 4 drives the mercury rep told me that the diesel drive had a larger diameter drive shaft - which is what usually broke on mine). Boat was never bottom painted and topped out at 51. Normal cruise speed was 37-40 mph. Great boat, went up and down the Chesapeake Bay and Delaware Bay.
