Makes no sense at all
Its a time when people have even more free time to surf the web, so instead of encouraging peeps to read on OSO, they drive them away.
I'm sure all your dedicated readers and OSO peeps will still be reading your stuff of SOTW or FB.

FWIW, the MODS all disagree with the decision.
I am personally disappointed, as I not only put on the party with you on behalf of OSO, but I call you both friends. I am sure the IB peeps will get more than an earful on this decision.

Matt & Jason provide a unique service connecting readers to events & topics that are current in the performance boating World. Most of them not in their backyard or mine.
One of the key attractions & reasons I think OSO is still relevant for those of us still here.
Doesn't appear to be conducive to building revenue...sorry to hear this..thanks for all the great content!

Traffic is traffic for all intents and purposes, meaning speedonthewater.com gets traffic even if opened via a link on another site such as OSO. Direct traffic always is a worthy goal for a number or reasons, but referral traffic (such as that created by our seeding of the message boards) contributes to the bulk traffic number for speedonthewater.com. We intend to continue posting SOTW story links here.
