Default 525SC EMI Exhaust. Salt? Coolant?

Hey guys. Almost done my repower 525SC in my scarab 23scs. installing heat exchanger now, was planning on running coolant through my EMI thunder exhaust.

Wondering how alluminum exhaust manifolds hold up running in salt water? ( Flushing after every use )

only reason I am debating whether to cool just motor or motor and exhaust is because I have an older heat exchanger off of a stock 454 and I'm concerned that with the bigger horsepower of the 525sc that the exhaust might heat things up for the old exchanger. Plus it would be less clutter of hoses just cooling motor. Thanks for your input.
