700 Sci Whipple Upgrade
Ive done a fair amount of research on here looking for some answers on the Whipple Stage 1-4 upgrades for the 700SCi and most seem to be pretty positive. I have a 42' lightning with 700s and #6's, and while I know the NXT trans is the weak link in the system, I'm ready to pull the trigger on one of the kits and I think I've talked myself out of the stage 4 at this point. Anyone who has done stages 1-3 have any regrets or issues wishing they would have stayed away from the upgrade entirely? or has anyone done the stage 1 and wish they had done the stage 2 or done the stage 2 and wish they had done the stage 3? I'm leaning towards a stage 3. Thanks.

If you go with the whipple upgrade make sure you also go with the Hardin water pump upgrade:

Hey 302 sport were the 700's in the Active Thunder you had stock or did they have any Whipple stage kit work done to them ?

They were stage 3 if I recall correctly.

Even stage 1? I see stage 2 has the bolt on water pick up and then the stage 3 adds the billet flame arrestor. |
Thanks

I have stage III and recommend it. EVERYONE talked me out of doing stage IV, including companies that would've made money off of me upgrading. FWIW.

How come stage IV not recommended?

These are going in a staggered 42 next week. Should be a slight change from what it was with the 700s. Motors make 1030 at 6K.
