Talking What are friends for?

Ya gota love friends that make that little special effort. It's Friday and I'm trying to finish work early to start the weekend. I get a phone call form Cashbrain & the lovely Ms. Longshot. They called to see how my day of work is going and tell me about all the fun they are having in New Orleans. They give me the play by play for the boat parade and tell me how nice the weather is. They had to let me go to catch up with some fellow OSO members and continue there fun weekend. Thanks guys!

Well this inspires me to make that little special effort! I cut out of work early and splashed the boat. I figured it wouldn't be right not to include Cashbrain in on the FUN! I call him but got dumped into voice mail. I still left that special message for him with the engines purring in the background! I still owe you Jack! Hope you have fun!

I see how you are. I bet my cell phone voice mail doesn't have a message on it either! You could've called me to go.

How was the water?

Dan-
Had a funny feeling that you would have gone for it today!
We actually gave some thought to putting the AT in, now that we have it home after all the trailer trouble, but the ramps are all shut down on the Mississippi, and we are just going pass on tomorrow since the boat is heading back to FL. Too much trouble unpickling it and re-winterizing it for one splash.
Next year will hopefully be much better for us! Hope to catch up with you at a winter get-together!

32fever,
I made a little river run. Nothing like leaf stained water to mess up a boat. It was a last minute thing. I gave Obnoxous a call but it was too late in the day for him to make it over to the ramp. So it was me and AC/DC doing the cruise. My ears are still ringing.

I hear Steve is selling his 32' Active Thunder. That's a really nice boat for not having a beak.

If you guys have any free weekends we could meet you over at Matte’s in Michigan City for some lunch, shopping & ICECREAM.
Dan

Jafo,
You guys need to start early next year to make up for this year. Did they finally get the trailer figured out? Look forward to meeting you at the winter get together. I’m sure we’ll have plenty of runs on Lake Michigan next year. I made plans to go to Trainfest in Milwaukee tomorrow or I’d be taking the boat out one more time.

Hey Dan, that sounds like a great way to get back at Jack and Janine

I thought of you wanting for an indian summer day to splash your Fountain one more time. I thought it was a little windy at 35mph, hadn't thought of the river.

Payton,
The river was nice and smooth! If I didn't have to work I would have gone to the Lake. I'm sure it was exciting. I'm still holding out for one more day. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Obnoxus,
I'm sorry. Me bad! You can call me from the left coast and rub it in. Of course I won't answer. Did anyone go out today?

That's OK don't feel bad guys. I was right in back of Dan at the stop light before he picked up the boat Friday. He waved but didn't ask me to go boating. So I went back to work .
I'll remember that Dan
